Pranali Rathod was born on 15 October 1999 and turned 27 in October 2026. Her birthday falls on 15 October.
Early Life
Rathod was raised in Maharashtra, and Mumbai is her birthplace. Before moving into prominent television roles, she began her acting career with episodic work, taking on a different character in each early project.
Pranali Rathod’s Career
Rathod made her acting debut in 2018 and went on to work in Hindi television and web series. Her credits include dramatic roles, a game show appearance and a web series. Over the following years, her parts ranged from a single-episode appearance to leading roles in continuing television dramas.
Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (2018)
Rathod made her acting debut in the tenth season of the television series Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. The Hindi romantic anthology, broadcast on Zing, presents a new story and cast in each episode rather than following one continuing set of characters. In the first episode, titled “Pyaar Pehli Baar,” she played Saanvi. The episode introduced her to television audiences in a compact, self-contained part, before she moved on to longer-running serial roles.
Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki (2019)
In 2019, Rathod played Suman Pandey in the Hindi romantic drama series Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki, opposite Kinshuk Vaidya. The show aired on &TV from June to August 2019 and was also available digitally on Zee5. It was a continuing fiction series built around the relationship at its centre: Suman and Badal come from different caste backgrounds and try to pursue their relationship despite opposition from their families and society. Rathod’s Suman is one half of that central pairing, with the conflict unfolding through the couple’s attempts to make their own choices in the face of social pressure.
Barrister Babu (2020)
Pranali Rathod played Saudamini “Mini” Bhaumik Greenwood in the television series Barrister Babu in 2020. The Colors TV period drama, produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, is set in Bengal in the early twentieth century. Its central story follows Anirudh Roy Chaudhary and Bondita Das, a child bride whose education and future become the focus of Anirudh’s efforts to challenge social customs. Rathod appeared opposite Pravisht Mishra and Jason Shah, playing Mini within the wider circle of characters around Anirudh. The role brought her wider recognition and placed her in a story shaped by family loyalties, social expectations and the changing position of women.
Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye (2021)
In 2021, Rathod played Radha Sahani in the television series Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, opposite Yash Tonk. The Sony Entertainment Television period drama is set in Lahore in the 1940s, before the Partition of India, and follows the lives of three young women against a time of political and social upheaval. Rathod’s part as Radha formed one strand of the ensemble story, which placed personal relationships and family circumstances within the unsettled world of the period. The series offered a different setting from the contemporary family dramas that would later become a major part of her television work.
Chutzpah (2021)
Rathod made her web-series debut in 2021 with Chutzpah, playing Richa. The SonyLIV series is an ensemble comedy-drama about young people whose lives and relationships are connected through the internet and social media. Its interwoven storylines move between different characters rather than centring on one protagonist, with online identities and offline relationships forming the framework for the plot. Rathod’s role as Richa brought her into the streaming format after her early television appearances, and the series added a contemporary, digitally connected setting to her screen credits.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (2021–2023)
From October 2021 to November 2023, Rathod played Akshara Goenka in StarPlus’s long-running series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, opposite Harshad Chopda. Created by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Productions, the family drama began on StarPlus in 2009 and continued through several generations of characters. Rathod’s Akshara belonged to the show’s newer generation, while her pairing with Chopda’s Abhimanyu Birla became a central romantic thread during her time on the series. Their story played out alongside the relationships and disagreements of the Goenka and Birla families, keeping Akshara’s personal choices connected to the larger family narrative.
In 2022, she also appeared as Akshara on Ravivaar With Star Parivaar, a StarPlus game show that brought together casts from the channel’s television programmes. Hosted by Arjun Bijlani, the show used team games and entertainment segments to set the fictional families against one another in a light competition format. Rathod took part with the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai team, appearing as her character rather than in a separate dramatic storyline.
Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani (2024–2025)
From 2024 to 2025, Rathod played Durga Kalmera in the television series Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani, opposite Aashay Mishra. The Colors TV drama centres on Durga and Anurag, whose relationship faces barriers rooted in their different social backgrounds. The series follows the pair’s connection from childhood into adult life, with family expectations and the surrounding community shaping the choices available to them. Rathod led the title role, while Mishra played Anurag, placing their relationship at the heart of the show’s continuing story.
Kumkum Bhagya
In 2025, Pranali Rathod played Prarthana in Kumkum Bhagya, Zee TV’s long-running drama produced by Balaji Telefilms. The series follows interconnected family and romantic stories and has continued through changes in its central characters over the years. Rathod joined the programme as Prarthana during a later phase of its run. The Times of India reported that she worked on the Gujarati accent for the character, a specific preparation for the role’s dialogue and speech.
