Pranali Rathod Age 2026: How old is she?
Pranali Rathod was born on 15 October 1999 and turned 27 in October 2026.
Early Life and Education
Rathod was raised in Maharashtra. Her first screen credits came in 2018, followed by a lead role in the 2019 television drama Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki.
Pranali Rathod’s Career
Her early work moved between different kinds of television storytelling: a standalone anthology episode, a continuing romantic drama and, later, an antagonist part in a family serial. In 2021, she added a web series to her credits before taking on a central role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (2018)
Rathod’s acting debut came in the tenth season of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, a television anthology built around separate stories of love and relationships. She played Saanvi in the season’s first episode, “Pyaar Pehli Baar.” As an anthology episode, it gave her a contained part rather than a character carried through a full serial; her next major television credit would be a continuing fiction role.
Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki (2019)
In 2019, Rathod played Suman Pandey in the &TV romantic drama Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki, opposite Kinshuk Vaidya. The series premiered on 18 June and ended on 26 August 2019, with episodes also available digitally on Zee5. Its central relationship is between Suman, a Brahmin, and Badal, a Dalit. Their wish to be together faces opposition from their families and the caste prejudice surrounding them. Rathod’s role as Suman was her first fiction lead, placing her at the centre of the show’s romantic and family conflict.
Barrister Babu (2020)
Rathod appeared in the Colors TV series Barrister Babu in 2020 as Saudamini “Mini” Bhaumik Greenwood, an antagonist. The period family drama follows young Bondita and Anirudh Roy Choudhary, whose marriage and Bondita’s education drive the central story. Rathod’s character belongs to the adult world around Anirudh and becomes part of the tensions shaping the household. She acted opposite Pravisht Mishra and Jason Shah. The role brought her wider recognition after her lead turn in Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki.
Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye (2021)
In 2021, Rathod played Radha Sahani in Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, a Sony Entertainment Television drama set in the period around India’s Partition. The story centres on young people whose lives are caught up in upheaval, changing relationships and the uncertainty of the era. Yash Tonk was Rathod’s co-star. Her part followed the antagonist role in Barrister Babu and came before her next television lead, giving her another period setting and a different dramatic ensemble.
Chutzpah (2021)
Rathod made her web-series debut in 2021 with Chutzpah, playing Richa. The SonyLIV series uses intersecting stories to explore young people’s relationships with online life, identities and the images they present to others. Its ensemble format differs from the continuing television serials in which she had appeared. The role was a change from her television work that year, which also included a continuing drama role, and added a digital-series credit to her screen career.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (2021–2023)
From October 2021 to November 2023, Rathod played Akshara Goenka in StarPlus’s long-running family series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The programme, produced by Director’s Kut Productions, had followed successive generations of the Goenka and Singhania families; Rathod joined its story during a later generational chapter. Her character’s relationship with Abhimanyu Birla, played by Harshad Chopda, became a major strand of the drama. The serial’s daily format gave the pairing room to develop across family events, romantic turns and conflicts. Her performance earned her the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress Popular twice. Akshara became one of her best-known television parts.
Ravivaar With Star Parivaar (2022)
In 2022, Rathod reprised her Akshara Goenka role on StarPlus’s game show Ravivaar With Star Parivaar. Hosted by Arjun Bijlani, the programme brought together casts from StarPlus shows for games and entertainment segments. Rather than continuing the plot of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Rathod’s appearance placed its character and cast in a variety-show setting. It remained a separate credit from her work in the drama series.
Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani (2024–2025)
From 2024 to 2025, Rathod portrayed Durga Kalmera in Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani, opposite Aashay Mishra. The Colors television drama centres on Durga and her relationship with Anurag, played by Mishra, as their bond faces challenges. Rathod’s title role made her the focus of a new continuing story after her departure from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The series added another leading television part to her credits.
